Formed from the ashes of Humdrum, mtvghosts and Torture Love, Chicago's Nervous Wake draws from second wave post-punk, no wave and 60's bubblegum pop to evoke life's push-pull of harmony and discord. From Gang-of-Four guitar jabs to shadowy vocals reminiscent of Steve Harlett, the band has been plucking away at an EP since March 2026. Or something like that.
